This site is dedicated mostly to music, but, there are many pressing global problems that should concern all of us, musicians or not.  Anyone who reads current periodicals like Time Magazine, or National Geographic, or just bothers to be observant, knows that our planet is in serious trouble. Species are becoming extinct at an alarming rate, which threatens the rich biodiversity we enjoy. Our waterways are poisoned. Due to air pollution, our ozone layer is thinning, causing global warming, which in turn causes storms, floods, mud-slides, and the like.  Racism, sexism, violence, famine, war, and disease are also serious problems.  If the people of Earth don’t stop this madness soon, we will doom ourselves and our precious planet.

Every person can do something to help. Here is a short  list of things that the average person can do. Of course, every person will not be comfortable doing everything on this list. Even if you only do one or two things, you’ll be joining the massive task-force which now is at work trying to save the planet. We need all of the help we can get!

1. Car pool and drive less. 

2. Consider buying a new environmentally friendly car.

3. Conserve water.

4. Recycle as much as possible.

5. Stop using pesticides on your lawn, and poisoning the water-table in other ways.

6. Stop using aerosol hair spray and other products that contain hydroflorocarbons.

7. Start a compost pile in your back yard.

8. Don’t litter.

9. Clean up the outside and recycle as you clean up.

10. Eat less meat.

11. Turn the lights out when you leave a room. Conserve energy.

12. Treat others with respect. Avoid and speak out against violence, racism, and sexism, etc.
